MISTRESS OF MAYHEM

Madelyn Majestic

Madelyn Majestic

Madelyn Majestic wandered into a T1Radio event at La Vie en Rose on her second day of Second Life in August 2005. She refused to leave. She brought barn animals, asked Nuala Maracas to play ‘Disco Duck,’ and pushed Trader Whiplash into a fireplace. She fit right in! Ultimately, in an effort to try to stem the mayhem, she was asked to join T1Radio in October 2006. It really just meant she took the mayhem to the airwaves. where she became known as T1’s Mistress of Mayhem.

Mady & Geddy – Reaching For The Stars

Madelyn, usually called Mady by friends, grew up listening to all types of music: country, rock, swing, pop, show tunes, folk music, blues, and more. Her favorite song is “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, and her favorite band is the Eagles. She had a crush on Dean Martin when she was six and watched Lawrence Welk every weekend. She also was a rabid fan of Dr. Demento.

Her shows usually contain a lot of early 70s California and Southern Rock, but she’s known to play many musical genres. Sometimes in the same show. You never know what she’s going to play next, but she loves to make people laugh and intersperses jokes, goofy songs, and bits of trivia into her show. The first weekend of every month is Bootin’ Scootin’ Satuday, and you can join her at LEGENDS for line dancing to both classic and modern country.

Mady & Dominick

Mady has been part of RelayRadio since 2007 where she shows her more serious side. She is one of the original RelayRadio team members. For the last 13 years Mady has hosted the Sunday morning ‘Wake-Up’ lap where she reminds Relayers to “Wear your coffee and drink your curlers.” Relay weekend is the highlight of her year in Second Life. She commented, “Being part of the Relay family is important to me. My kids lost their grandmother, step-mother, and grandfather to cancer. It devastated them. I relay for them. I’ll be relaying in Second Life as long as there is a Relay.”

In real life, Mady has been a writer and a college professor. She was born in the midwest and now resides in Texas. She tried California but was asked to leave after causing too many earthquakes. She likes comic books and is a long-time Trekkie. She’s also super obsessed with Supernatural and goes to conventions where she usually steps on of the stars of the show repeatedly (but accidentally). Or so she says.
