Tazzie ‘Tazz’ Tuque
TAZZ was a DJ with over 14 years of experience DJing in SL, who specialized in Blues; all kinds of Blues (can do classic rock and Golden Oldies as well). . She joined T1 Radio in 2017, bringing her Blues Monday show to the 5 pm Mondays slot. She had also been part of the RelayRadio team for several years.
Tazz had a musical background, being a former musician playing drums and providing vocals in blues bands for many years. She did some DJ work in the real world at one point as well. She was part owner in a recording studio where she was actively involved in many aspects of music production. Times change, circumstances change but music never changes. For Tazz it just swtiched gears a bit.
Music was her first love but it was a second career. She was a retired Registered Nurse who used her music career as a healthy outlet for stress from her nursing work.
Spinning tunes in SL and on the internet was her way of staying involved with music by sharing great music with a world wide audience. As Tazz said, she DJ’s for the music and nothing else. She just enjoyed bringing good music to whomever wants to listen. And maybe introducing folks to something they may not have heard.
Tazz passed away in February 2024. She will be sadly missed
